Angel Place

Preserved green wall

Angel Place at 123 Pitt Street features the largest indoor preserved green wall in the Southern Hemisphere. Easygreen was appointed to assess and redevelop the feature following issues identified in the original installation. The project involved a complete rebuild, resulting in a durable and architecturally integrated green wall.

Scope of work

Easygreen managed the complete removal of the existing green wall to address the deficiencies identified during assessment. We oversaw the remediation process and delivered a full reconstruction of the feature, redesigning the installation to maintain the established visual concept while elevating material quality and long-term performance.

The new preserved green wall incorporates a balanced 50/50 composition of preserved foliage and a curated selection of premium mosses chosen for their colour stability and environmental suitability. Sculpted forms were constructed and fixed to the wall surface to introduce three-dimensional depth before being fully clad in preserved greenery.

The Project

123 Pitt Street is home to the largest indoor preserved green wall in the Southern Hemisphere. Easygreen was contacted to restore this impressive feature after the original installation—completed by an overseas supplier—was found to be poorly constructed and significantly damaged.

Our team removed the existing wall and worked closely with the client to design a new, high-quality replacement. The client selected the overall shape, plant types, and colour palette. We used premium reindeer moss for its durability, vibrant colour, and natural fire resistance. To enhance visual depth, we incorporated a custom 3D layout across the surface.

The result is a striking, large-scale moss wall that not only transforms the space but is also said to bring good fortune—a truly iconic biophilic statement.
